b'DEAR FRIENDS,Uncornered is built by, for, and with the individuals and communities most impacted by the inequities that shape our country. While 2020 has been traumatic for even the most secure of us, its no secret that it was much worse for vulnerable populations grappling with the impact of a public health crisis, ensuing economic challenges and trauma from the public reckoning with racial injustice. None more than the gang-involved individuals and families we love and serve. While the past year has been one filled with uncertainty, fear, and challenges, it has also allowed us to look at ourselves, each other, and the world differently and push to do more. As we move toward better days, for the first time since articulating our goal of community change nearly a decade ago, we are now focused entirely on our core model and prepared for growth in Boston and beyond. Thanks to your courage and generosity, Uncornered has continued its impact for young adults who we call Core Influencers - providing direct financial assistance, mentoring, and mental health support to young men and women in our communities. Together we are helping each other fill a void for our young people and their families. We are grateful to you, and your support of those closest to the challenges in ourcommunities. Uncornered continues to show incredible results demonstrated in the following statistics from an impact study* completed by consultants fromBain & Company through Inspire Inc. in 2020. Even with the knowledge that tough times still confront us,we are heartened to know that we can lean on our community, and unite to inspire hope, change, and justice.Thank you for believing in Boston Uncornered.Your support is invaluable.Mark CullitonMichelle Caldeira Co-founder & CEOCo-founder & SVP*Full report available upon request'
