Volunteer Opportunities
Uncornered offers various 1:1 and small group (10-20) volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Activities are usually held during the program hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
The Uncornered model programs for youth and young adults offered at multiple sites in Dorchester and the Innovation District (students aged 17 to 27 years)
- 1:1 and small group tutoring
- Mock interview, resume building or financial literacy workshops
- Leading or assisting with social development groups
- Virtual Tutoring
- Speaking at student “Town Hall” on a specific area of expertise
In addition to program-specific volunteer opportunities, there are other tasks or projects volunteers can support with regard to facilities and administrative tasks.
- Facility improvements: painting, landscaping, minor repairs of furniture, and equipment
- Administrative: data entry, filing
